How do I add a new side hustle?

Go to the Hustles tab and tap the + button. Enter a name, choose an icon and color, then tap Save. You can manage multiple hustles and track income and expenses for each one separately.

How do I log income or expenses?

Go to the Transactions tab and tap the + button. Select the hustle, enter the amount, choose income or expense, pick a category, and optionally attach a receipt photo. You can also use the Quick Add button on the Dashboard or from a hustle's detail view.

How are quarterly taxes calculated?

The Tax Center uses 2026 IRS federal tax brackets and a 15.3% self-employment tax rate to estimate your quarterly payment. It factors in your year-to-date income, expenses, filing status, and standard deduction. This is an estimate only — consult a tax professional for advice specific to your situation.

Why does the app ask for camera or photo library access?

Hustle Tracker uses your camera and photo library only to let you attach receipt photos to transactions. This is entirely optional — the app works fully without granting these permissions. Photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or shared. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings > Hustle Tracker.

How do I set up recurring transactions?

When adding a transaction through Quick Add, toggle "Make Recurring" to create a recurring template. You can also go to the Transactions tab, tap the repeat icon in the toolbar, and tap + to create a recurring transaction directly. Choose from daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, or yearly schedules.

What features are included free?

The free version includes 1 side hustle, 2 recurring transaction templates, 30-day CSV export, the full dashboard with charts, and receipt photos. You can use the app fully for basic tracking without a subscription.

What does Hustle Tracker Pro unlock?

Pro unlocks unlimited side hustles, full tax center access with quarterly estimates and deadline tracking, unlimited recurring transaction templates, and complete data export with no time limit.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

To manage or cancel your Hustle Tracker Pro subscription:

• Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
• Tap your name at the top (Apple ID)
• Tap Subscriptions
• Select Hustle Tracker
• Tap Cancel Subscription or choose a different plan

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to Pro features until then.

How do I export my data?

Go to Settings and choose either "Export All Data (CSV)" to export all transactions, or "Export Tax Report (CSV)" for a tax-focused report. The CSV file can be shared with your accountant or imported into any spreadsheet app.

How do I delete my data?

You have several options:

• Swipe left on any individual hustle, transaction, or recurring template to delete it
• Go to Settings > "Reset All Data" to permanently remove all data
• Uninstalling the app removes all stored data from your device

Is my data private?

Yes. All data is stored locally on your device. The app makes no network requests, has no analytics, no tracking, no ads, and requires no account. It works entirely offline. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Is my data backed up?

Your data is stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud backup enabled for your device, your app data may be included in device backups. The app itself does not sync data to any cloud service.
