Help for RadReady on iPhone

In an emergency, this page cannot help you. Follow local authorities and official broadcasts. RadReady is an information tool, not an emergency service.

Contact

Email hello@laborsam.com. A person reads every message, and we aim to reply within 3 business days.

To get a useful answer quickly, include your iPhone model and iOS version, the app version (More › Settings › About), what you expected, what happened, and a screenshot if you can.

If you believe a figure or a piece of guidance in the app is wrong, please say which screen and what source you are comparing it with. Those reports get priority.

Common questions

Does RadReady measure radiation with my phone?
No. An iPhone has no radiation sensor. RadReady shows readings from public monitoring networks, and from a RadiaCode detector if you own one and connect it over Bluetooth. The Detector screen explains how its numbers are produced.

Why does the map show nothing near me?
Coverage depends on public networks, and it is much denser in some countries than others. Official weather alerts cover the United States only. When a layer has nothing or could not load, its row in the layer list says which.

Are the shelters on the map verified?
No. They come from public FEMA and OpenStreetMap data. A listed place may be closed, unavailable or unsuitable.

How accurate is the blast calculator?
It is an estimate from published approximations, for education and planning. Real outcomes depend on weapon design, burst height, terrain, weather and buildings. The sources are linked under each result.

What does RadReady use my location for?
To find nearby stations, shelters and weather alerts. It is optional. Your position is rounded to about 1 km before it goes to those public services, and RadReady has no server of its own. See the Privacy Policy.

Why does it ask for Bluetooth?
Only when you tap "Scan for a detector". It is not used for anything else, and the rest of the app works without it.

How do I delete my data?
Your plans, checklist and exposure log are stored on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes them.

How do I restore a purchase?
More › Settings › Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with.

How do I cancel my subscription?
iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions › RadReady. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. The lifetime purchase has no renewal to cancel.

Requirements

iPhone with iOS 17.0 or later. The survival guide, calculator, checklist and family plan work offline. Live readings, shelters and alerts need a connection.
