Terms of Use

RadReady · Last updated 31 October 2026

RadReady is an information tool, not an emergency service. In an actual emergency, follow the instructions of local authorities and official broadcasts. Do not rely on this app as your only source of guidance.

Acceptance

By downloading or using RadReady you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What RadReady is

RadReady presents publicly available preparedness guidance and public data, and models the effects of a hypothetical nuclear detonation using unclassified, published approximations. It is intended for education and preparedness planning.

No warranty on the information

The guidance, radiation readings, shelter locations, weather alerts and blast calculations in RadReady are provided "as is" and without warranty of any kind. Specifically:

Do not make life-safety decisions on the basis of this app alone.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, RadReady or the information it presents.

Subscriptions

RadReady Pro unlocks additional live map layers and planning tools, as an auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. The complete survival guide — before, during and after — is free and always will be.

Acceptable use

You may not use RadReady to plan, assist or encourage harm to anyone. The blast modelling exists to help people understand risk and prepare, and for no other purpose.

Not affiliated with any agency

RadReady is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by FEMA, the US EPA, the National Weather Service, the CDC, or any other government body. Their names appear only to attribute the source of the information shown.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The current version is always the one posted here.
