Nothing reaches us. RadReady does not operate a backend, does not create an account for you, and does not transmit your personal information to us. We have no ability to identify you.
If you grant location access, RadReady uses your position to find nearby shelters, the closest radiation monitoring stations, and weather alerts for your area. Before your position goes to a third-party service it is rounded to about 1 km. It is sent directly from your phone to the services listed below so they can answer for your area. We do not store it, because we have no server to store it on. Each service handles what it receives under its own privacy policy.
You can decline location access and still use the rest of the app, including the complete survival guide. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings.
When you use the app it makes requests to these public services. Each has its own privacy policy.
These can receive your approximate position, or a place you chose on the map:
These are asked for general data and do not receive your coordinates:
If you tap "Scan for a detector", RadReady uses Bluetooth to connect to a RadiaCode radiation detector and show its readings. iOS asks your permission first. Readings stay on your iPhone unless you choose to log them, and the log stays there too.
Your family plan, including any medical details you add, meeting points, supply checklist, exposure log, cached alerts, and your app preferences are stored locally on your iPhone. Some of this is shared with the RadReady home screen widget through a private app group container. None of it leaves your device unless you export or share it yourself, and all of it is removed when you delete the app.
RadReady Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase, as a subscription or a one-time purchase. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether your purchase is active. We never see your payment details, and we receive no personal information from Apple. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
RadReady does not track you. It contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting service and no third-party trackers. It does not use the Advertising Identifier and does not participate in any cross-app tracking.
RadReady is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date.
