1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how PlumbCalc Pro ("we", "our", or "the App") handles information when you use our iOS application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

2. Information We Collect

PlumbCalc Pro is designed as a privacy-first, offline application. Here is what the App accesses:

2.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

• Calculation History: Your saved calculations, job names, and addresses are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device.
• App Preferences: Settings such as unit system (Imperial/Metric), code preference (IPC/UPC), and display preferences are stored locally using UserDefaults.

2.2 Microphone & Speech Recognition

• The App offers an optional voice input feature for fixture counting. When you choose to use this feature, the App requests access to your device's microphone and Apple's on-device speech recognition.
• Voice data is processed entirely on your device using Apple's Speech framework. No audio or transcription data is sent to our servers or any third party.
• You can deny microphone and speech recognition permissions at any time through your device's Settings. The App remains fully functional without these features.

2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
• We do not collect location data
• We do not collect device identifiers or usage analytics
• We do not use cookies or tracking technologies
• We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs
• We do not require account creation

3. How We Use Information

All data stored by the App is used solely to provide you with the core functionality:

• Saving and recalling your calculation history
• Remembering your preferred settings (unit system, code preference)
• Generating PDF reports from your calculations
• Displaying your last result in the Home Screen widget

4. Third-Party Services

PlumbCalc Pro does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs. The only external service interaction is with Apple's StoreKit for processing in-app purchases and subscriptions. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with third parties. Since we do not collect data, there is no data to share.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

• All App data is stored locally on your device and in your iCloud account (if iCloud is enabled for the App).
• You can delete individual calculations from the App's history at any time.
• You can delete all App data by deleting the App from your device.
• We do not retain any data on external servers, so there is no server-side data to delete.

7. Data Security

Your data is protected by the security features built into iOS, including device encryption and app sandboxing. Since all data remains on your device and is never transmitted over the internet, there is no risk of data interception during transmission.

8. Children's Privacy

PlumbCalc Pro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The App is a professional tool designed for plumbers, engineers, and contractors.

9. Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data, traditional data subject rights (access, correction, portability) do not apply in the conventional sense. However:

• Access & Control: All your data is on your device. You have full access and control at all times.
• Deletion: Delete individual records within the App or remove all data by uninstalling the App.
• Consent Revocation: You can revoke microphone and speech recognition permissions at any time via iOS Settings > PlumbCalc.

10. International Users

PlumbCalc Pro operates entirely offline. No data crosses borders or is transferred internationally. Your data stays on your device regardless of your location.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Website Hosting

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may collect basic technical information such as IP addresses in server logs as part of their hosting service. For details, see GitHub's Privacy Statement.
