The app uses data from OpenStreetMap, a community-driven mapping project, to locate rest areas along US highways. Data is updated regularly by contributors worldwide.
Your location is used to show rest stops near you and calculate distances. Location data is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to our servers.
If you enable background notifications, the app uses iOS region monitoring to alert you when approaching a rest stop — even when the app is closed. This feature is optional and can be disabled in Settings. The app works fully with "When In Use" location permission.
The app requires location access to find rest stops near you. If location permission is denied, the app will show a prompt explaining how to enable it in iOS Settings.
Go to the Settings tab in the app and tap "Clear Cache." This removes temporarily stored rest stop data. Your favorites are not affected.
